Yes, to get a more accurate picture of content on both sides, perhaps---for the purposes of this blog---just films should be counted. No HDScape stuff, concerts, calibration discs, etc., just theatrical releases from major and independent studios. Otherwise, IMO, these numbers begin to look more inflated than informative.

I'm not sure if the counts are all that informative except to point out that there's not many movies to buy in HD. Even when you count all the niche stuff, about 330 titles in either format, it's really not a whole lot. It's hardly cause for the cockwaving and bickering that goes on here and elsewhere.
