I think if 360 wants to progress in gaming, it will need to capitalize on HD-DVD storage capacity vs. standard DVD. I own a PS3, but love playing GoW and Halo 3 at a friends house... but these games feel incredibly short. What gets lost in the format war is PS3 is taking advantage of blu-ray for its games, not just movies.

The space on the disk has nothing to do with how "short" you think the game "feels" to you. Name a game on the PS3 that's better than either Halo3 or GoW, even with it's large space. Keep in mind also that Mass Effect has areas that the developers have never even been to yet because it's so expansive -- on a DVD.
If MS wants to release a 360 with an HD DVD player now, it actually kinda makes sense. Two years ago, no way - too expensive. Even a year ago, too expensive (as the PS3 proved). But at the end of 2008? Drive will be cheap, so why not? The tricky part is will any games need it? That opens up another can of worms if it's used for anything other than movies.

But the PS3 games are short i.e. Warhawk, HS and Lair so this is not always the case.
