If you haven't taken a complete look at
Alienware's CEDIA booth, well, you didn't miss much, but the sparklin' new
Hangar18:HD was out on display, and we took a few to get a closer look. Upon initial inspection, we found that this beast was unusually heavy -- like, "you run it over with a car without even harming it" heavy. Additionally, the silver chassis was very impressive in person, and while it certainly won't appeal to everyone, we're sure there's more than a few individuals who will dig it. Check out a few shots of Alienware's latest media server below.

That's slick! Glad to see Alienware didn't use plastic for a change.

Damn that's sexy. I wish it had 4 DCTs like that Lifeware box. Rackmount is the way to go for these babies though. Stick it in a rack in a closet (although it looks so good, I'd hate to hide it!) and put those new extenders/360s on your TVs. Freaking awesome.

No HDMI?
Are you kidding me?
And don't give me that DVI-to-HDMI crap. At this point in the game, HDMI should be stock on anything claiming HD.

Yes... completely SEXY!!! Gotta agree with Jesse though, no HDMI caught my eye right off the bat. It makes me wonder what they were thinking when they put this beast together. Still, this would look sooooooo good in my rack! I wonder if it will come in black...

Oh, for those who wondered about the rack mounts in the original roll out post, it looks like those rack mount handles are completely removable. Rather than having an extended front panel with attached handles, you'll have two removable plates you can remove if you so desire.
All about the goods baby!
