Panasonic's PT-AX200U HD projector adds gaming mode
Those looking for a single projector that fits the bill for movie watching and game playing need to look Panasonic's way, as the firm's PT-AX200U HD projector claims to cut the response time down a full third from its prior models. This sucka touts a 1,280 x 720 native resolution, a 220-W UHM lamp and optical unit that generate 2,000 lumens of brightness, 6,000:1 contrast ratio, twin HDMI ports, the firm's own Light Harmonizer 2 image technology, and the ability to customize and save "eight settings for games or movies, making it easy to view the content as you wish." Reportedly, the PJ should be landing sometime in October in a pearl white motif, but pricing details have yet to be divulged.

Gaming mode? I have the Panny AE700 and use my 360 on it and haven't noticed that the response time isn't good. In fact, BioShock looks amazing on it... It also has 4 memory locations but I only use two....
Not sure I see the advantages of this one.

It doesn't seem like a huge improvement over 100U or am I missing something?

So compared to the AX100U, they added an extra HDMI port?
WOW!!

It adds the following..
.3ms refresh rate wich extreamly fast and accurate with games like halo... there is a advantage, also in game mode it brightens the shadow's where normally you would not see anything, also adjust gamma..
the 200U also adds smooth screen technolgy 2 wich ofcourse is better then SS 1 it completly eliminates pixels..
Not only is there a extra HDMI port but it is now capable of running 1080p/24 with out a 3/2 pull down so there is no down sizing the picture you would have a hard time telling the difrence between this projector and a 1080p/60 projector not to mention a 720p projector can dish out almost twice the lumen output of just about any 1080p/60 projector out..
Also with the 200U you get a 2 year warranty where the 100u only had a 1 year warranty..
oh btw you can get this projector brand new now for $1299
this projector is a killer deal
