Some site is reporting this
Sony just opened the new season with an avalanche of HD televisions in Japan. With the KDL-70x7000 as its flagship a battleship Yamato-sized 70" Full HD LCD the new army includes 15 Bravia models from the X, W and V series starting at 40-inch plus three models of the small new J3000 series. To round it up, they also presented their new Bravia Link, their technology to control all things Sony from one remote. Full line-up with prices after the jump.

The whole line includes 10-bit LCD panels, while the X and W series include Motion Flow as well, so action shots look smoothtastic. The 70-incher also has RGB LED backlighting, which further increases color gamut to 160% over the rest, as well as putting out 550cd/m2 of light with a 1,500:1 contrast ratio. The smaller J3000 mark at 20, 26 and 30 inches.

Am I wrong or is this just the Japanese release of the XBR4/5 and W, V Series that are already on sale in the US?

With all these new 1080p panels, are any of them TRUE 1080p panels that work at 1920 x 1080? I noticed a lot of panels have a NATIVE resolution of 1280x1024, which is not 1080p! look at the Sharp's LC42D72U - in the manual, it's spec clearly say 1280x1024.
