this is kind of a no brainer...it'd make copying hd dvd and blu ray pretty damn easy.
I'm pretty sure my Xbox 360 can do 1080p HD-DVD to my 1080p Samsung over component. Check it out, it's right under display settings.
Copying over HDMI really isn't as hard as anyone thinks. From what I heard, HDMI is about as secure as DVD is, encryption-wise.
Becausing ripping a HDDVD disc or BluRay disc to my hard drive with AnyDVD is so lossy and complicated? Why in the world would anyone want to capture via HDMI when you can just strip the encryption? It's all been hacked for months now you know....
What? Easier than it already is?To be honest, a two year old could rip either of the HD formats at the moment, and the BitTorrent downloads of HD rips prove it.
