HD DVD and Blu-ray releases on July 17th, 2007
The slow month of July rolls on for both formats, as we all wait for 300 in a couple of weeks. In the meantime Sony has a mediocre Sandra Bullock day-and-date release for us. But that's not all they have, also this week is the re-released of The Fifth Element, which we're not counting towards the total 'cause Sony is offering to replace the original version for free. It has been a few weeks since BD+ was finalized and we've yet to see a title from FOX. It appears that all the studios are taking it easy during the summer, but we expect everyone to get ramped up for the holiday season, which isn't too far away.HD DVD 245 vs Blu-ray 263.
Blu-ray
- The Fifth Element (Remastered) (Sony)
- Premonition (Sony)
- Waiting... (Lionsgate)
- Wild Things (Sony)
- Nada

Another weak movie. Honestly -- who is going to pay near $30 to own this title?
Just sayin'...

ha, three movies and a re-release is 300%+ more than HD-DVD is putting out.

LOL good one Rick - your pretty observant and can you do the math or what. What was the percentage of HD over bd releases last week? Um, last week HD = 4, BD = 0 I'll let the math genious figure out the percentage. LOL - Dumbass

I'm surprised to see that no basement ridden geeks are ogling over Denise Richards in hi-def... :Op They seem to go gaga over every Asian girl picture ever posted on the internets...
