One has a metal detector setup when you walk in and out of the store and is relatively unobtrusive. The second store has the same metal detector, but everytime you pass through it, you then have to go into another room for a complete strip search. They do this as you enter the store, and again as you leave the store (to make sure you're not stealing anything). On top of that, the second store charges more for its product because it has to pay for that extra security.
