This is quite possibly the biggest blow that HD-DVD could suffer, other than universal jumping ship...or microsoft suddenly decided to make a combo drive for the elite. But really, when people go into retail locations, which are usually the less techy of the populus (compared to those who do all their rentals online) their going to see that there aren't any hd-dvds offered...and maybe blockbuster is on the right track for a winner. i mean, if i were old, and not visiting engadget multiple times a day, this is certainly what i would be thinking. I can really see the execs over at sony, disney, fox, pioneer, philips, hitachi, samsung, panasonic, sharp, mitsubishi, lionsgate, java all breathing a sigh of relief. This might be the first nail in the coffin for Tosh, MS and universal. Well, all could things come to an end, it was fun why it last...
