Plus if you say size that is not necessarily true seeing how most companies use the single layer 25gig BD-ROM and most companies use the 30gig HD-DVD? Not to mention why tout and claim "we have more space" if you aren't even gonna use it?

I am for HD-DVD all the way plus i hate how cocky and arrogant Sony and the blu-ray camp are being they need to be humbled and deflate that monstrous ego seeing how pretty much every format sony has made has died off.

the one who lowers the price the most to a resonable price will most likely win. Plus i think hd-dvd has a better library especially this sumemr. HEROES, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, LOTR, MATRIX, etc..

Phoenixxx1974

Comments on

In the review they say that David Attenborough was the narrator for the entire series, yet here in the USA, Sigorney Weaver was the narrator. I cant beleive most of the studios bought into sony`s lies and followed blu ray, ahh but alas the tides are turning arent they, samsung? I say, go buy the sammy total hd player and let blu ray and hd dvd fight it out quietly, I know, it will be expensive right, but if you can afford to buy a 600.00 pos3 then you can afford to buy a 1500.00 samsung player, but untill you get some games for that 600.00 pos3 youll just have to keep buying blu ray movies, wont you? that is the only reason blu ray is on top, as soon as "sorny" starts putting descent games out for the pos3, the blu ray fad will die out!

fanboy

Comments on

Blu-ray and HD DVD do not use the same encoding. HD-DVD is not going to survive as they just cannot match the size of blu-ray and why invest in something that is smaller?? The only major studio not using blu ray is universal, and even Microsoft said they would make a blu-ray drive for the 360 when HD-DVD fails. It's time to realize that for once Sony got it right and created a great format. I know I wouldn't want to buy a product that has less titles, no editing capabilities for consumers, and lower capacity.....

bluguy21

Comments on

Firstly planet earth was released some time ago as a standard 5 disc DVD each disc contains three 1 hour episodes. What i don't understand is the HD DVD release is 4 discs and no matter how hard i try nobody seems to list the disc contents. This make me very suspitious because HD DVD has massive file sizes so how could they get 15 episodes onto 4 discs.....what makes me even more suspitious is the BBC shop website are NOT selling in this format.....what gives......this is a BBC program....it's also a disgrace if sigourney weaver is narrating....it takes the whole magic away from this excellent footage which pays homage to david attenboroughs years of service to natuaral history narration

martin

Comments on

I just bought the PE HD-DVD today, it looks very stunning and it looks great on my Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive outputting to my Sony KDS-60A2000 @1080p.

Anyways, here is a breakdown of the content:

DISC 1:
From Pole to Pole
Mountains
Fresh Water

DISC 2:
Caves
Deserts
Ice Worlds

DISC 3:
Great Plains
Jungles
Shallow Seas

DISC 4:
Seasonal Forests
Ocean Deep

Erik

Comments on

Blu-Ray is better because when TDK releases their 4-layer disc (100 Gb) the game will end.

Joshua Duffy
