I got FiOS 15/2 several months ago, but the PA legislature, no doubt bribed^Wencouraged by Philadelphia-based Comcast, denied Verizon a state-wide license to provide FiOS TV.  Verizon now has to negotiate with each of the 660+ municipalities within Pennsylvania in order to provide a TV over fibre. Have had it since it's been available here in the DFW area.<br><br>The DVR software is not that great but the PQ is great. It is amazingly fast, and the picture quality of the HD broadcasts are noticeably better than commcast.  The internet really opens up.  Its not perfect, as BlueOrder pointed out, the DVR needs an update, and there is no HD on demand.  <br><br>The installation is a little messy as well, as they have to bury a new cable, and install a battery backup (for the phone) inside your house.  <br><br>Lifetime Movies is a new stretch-0-vision upcoverting channel.  It shouldn't be considered HD. Most new homes are built that way.  Fortunately, my house was built in the 1950s and has the telephone pole at the end of my backyard.  The tech ran the fibre cable right from the pole to the house.
