My need to backup DVDs(I legitly own over 300, and if my house burns, gets robbed I'm screwed) and sony's obsession over DRM scares me away from blue ray.. that's it.. I don't mind if they win.. hopefully they get cracked up the ass by hackers, then I would go out and buy one without a worry. That's the reason I wanted hd to win.. oh and the crap of them after a few months of good sales having reps come out and claim over and over all week long how they won the war, trying to trick the gullible into giving up on hd if they like it, and making people who are planning to make a future purchase of HD DVD to change there mind because of stories of sony winning(coming from sony)

Since most people of the world are extremely gullible, this was a sadistic, sad, but effective more for sony.. Damn bastids.
