We have
been expecting this for some time and it might finally happen, according to the general manager of Bright House Networks in Tampa FL; ESPN2HD will go live tonight on channel 704. You're probably wondering, what does Bright House Networks has to do with Time Warner Cable? Because a few years ago Bright House Networks markets
were Time Warner Cable markets and although they are now managed separately, they continue to negotiate carriage agreements together to increase their bargaining power. This team work does not gurantee that if one provider picks up a new channel the other will too, but we're betting they do. (It may just be wishful thinking)

In the Midwest - ESPN2 is carried by Comcast on the basic digital cable package, I believe.

I think they are only referring to HD channels. I have Bright House in Brevard County, FL and we only get ESPN HD. I just hope they do add it ESPN2 HD here as well.

It would be sweet if TW finally offered ESPN2HD, here in Upstate we just got YES HD added to the lineup today.

Woot!
Just checked it out...ESPN 2 is now up and running in Orlando on Brighthouse Networks!
It's about time!

No EPSN2HD in Dallas yet...

Who needs another HD channel now that TWC-NYC is giving us a 100% SD channel labeled as HD (WWOR HD is their SD channel falsely labeled as a HD channel). Not only that, but so far it has the absolute worst PQ of any of the SD channels I can tune.
I do recall folks in upstate NY (TWC area) saying they got both ESPN HD channels, AND as part of their regular digital tier while we pay extra for one and don't get the other.

Still no ESPN2HD in Dallas. I'm not a baseball fan, but they have an opening night game on ESPN2 that I know a lot of people would love to see in HD...

YES! Finally! Been waiting for ESPN2HD since I bought my HDTV 15 months ago! We got it here in Orlando too through BrightHouse Networks. All I can say is its about time! Now all we need is National Geographic HD and we're set.

well, time warner in dallas is jacking up prices for HD, so maybe new channels will come along with it.

question for you baseball fans out there: as a comcast subscriber, if i get the mlb extra innings package, do i get the out of market games in HD? For instance, the SF Giants local channel is HD, will i get the HD feed in DC?
Sean G @ Apr 6th 2007 4:08PM
Yep, ESPN2 Now on TWC in Wilmington NC.
