I believe with the current situation neither side will win and both will survive which will eventually force exclusive studios on either side to have dual releases.
Not when HD-DVD has no content. The sales chart of HD-DVD sales is already sorta flat in Amazon, while Blu-ray's is rising. The point is it costs money to make two formats, so the studios have no benefit in ensuring two formats survive. They want one or the other, not both, and since most are already aligned with Blu-ray, that's what they'll choose as the eventual winner.
