Flat panel friendly OTA antenna - ANT188

File this one away in "If I would have thought of this, I wouldn't be working for the man anymore." Seriously. Hanging flat panels and antennas generally don't get along that well, but RCA as a nice and easy solution. Simply hang the little piece of plastic off the front of the flat panel and a pair of rabbit ears is going to stick out of the back. No word on the performance but we are going to step out on a limb here and say this isn't going to work as well as your Winegard roof-top, but it is going to work a tad better then the current pair of rabbit ears duct taped to the back of your flat panel. The ANT188 is going to carry a price of $14.99 when it hits shelves sometime in April.
Note: the other half of the press picture includes flat cables and a wall mount - nothing new.

This is kewl I get it..... but do i really want my advance TV looking like an old console! NO! I want my flat panel looking like a picture fame not with coat hangers on the back of it. Now if they could make an hidden antenna that goes behind the flat panel tvs that can be disguised into the mount how kewl would that be. I'd buy it.

Seems like a gimmick which people within 5 miles of their local towers might get use out of. That as as Ashley said, it's plain old school and most people wouldn't want that sitting on their nice flat screen.
I'm sitting high up (elevation wise) at 17 Miles and my $30 boosted Philips antenna barely cuts it for most of the stations I can tune in. The signal will gets choppy most of the time and be barely watchable. I still need to try moving it higher but I have no where to put it easily. This not boosted $15 toy looks unreliable and something a novice might buy because it's cheap.
