So, Kutaragi claims PS3 supports HDMI 1.3. How, exactly?

It won't be the deep colour, RSX (aka GeForce 7900) only supports 8 bit framebuffers. Better compressed audio support maybe? Though there's no point when HDMI can already do 8 channel uncompressed. So... what?
