buy this item at costco.com and you'll get the costco warranty. even if you decide you don't like it in a year, you'll get a full cash refund.
by the way, this projector works great in my family room and although i haven't bought a screen yet, my wife and i are content to watch hd content and stretched non-hd content on our wall. looks fantastic and compared to plasmas i've seen at retailers, this projector provides just as good of a picture with the ability to project a large screen for movie night. you don't need to turn off all the lights with this projector, but during the daytime it is best to have the curtains half shut.
