I guess Sony can't but help hype Paul WS Anderson's crapfest of movies. AvP was one the biggest turd. It did such a disservice to the Alien and Predator franchise. Regarding the mention of King Kong on HD DVD, although an interesting movie, it's not something I'd ever buy. The movie was just okay. But as a free pack in, I think it works. I'm sure it'll certainly look nice in HD.

There are a lot of people that say because they liked a movie, and everybody in their echo chamber liked it, it must be a sure-fire blockbuster/format-killer. "King Kong" is one of those titles.
