Maybe I'm just confused here, but why isn't your set 1080p? It might not take a 1080p input, but I believe the new Toshiba's will correctly display all 1080 lines of resolution from a 1080i source.

That's just it- I can't directly plug a 1080p source (PS3 anyone?) into my TV so I bet the quality (no progressive scan which is supposed to be a REAL difference between 1080i and 1080p) would be better if I had known about the wobulation 'stuff' beforehand. The saving grace is my reciever does accept HDMI 1080p so I'll be pluggin g my PS3 into that whatever year I buy one. I'm 'lucky' my receiver has 2 HDMI inputs and my TV does as well (cablebox, PS3, and HD DVD player to be named later = 3 HDMI's needed - 2 to the receiver, 2 to the TV)
