long story short is I spent a lot of money building up my DVD collection. I've seen HD-DVD and BluRay in action - and they look great, but not good enough for me to start over again. a Progressive Scan DVD player hooked up HDMI on my HDTV looks excellent to me, and I'll be sticking with it for a while yet.
