HDTV Listings for September 19, 2006
What we're watching: A brand new show, Smith, premieres on CBS tonight, with its professional thief-oriented storyline, hopefully it fares better than Heist did. Returning shows with season premieres include fellow CBS shows NCIS and The Unit, Boston Legal on ABC as well as Law & Order CI and Law & Order: SVU on NBC. That's not even mentioning new episodes of Dancing with the Stars, House and Standoff. The only way HDTV tonight could be better is if we had some sports...oh wait we do, with Tigers and White Sox playing a game that could decide the fate of the AL Central and wild card race. Just to get things kicked off properly, Cinemax is airing Saving Private Ryan in HD just after 5. What more could you ask for?

I meant to say Smith was good.
I never so Heist.

I was really disappointed that Heist was cancelled so early in the season. I really enjoyed the character interaction and for it to end on a cliff-hanger like that is just so wrong. Saw an early airing of Smith and pretty much thought it was pretty good as well, though it's not as light-hearted as Heist was. Smith is a little more serious.

Heist was pretty good. I was like a movie for TV.

5 authorities detained the officers Wednesday, prompting angry statements from Russia's defense minister, who denounced Georgia as a "bandit" state. Bilateral ties long have been strained over Georgia's bid to join NATO and Moscow's close links to Georgia's breakaway provinces.
