#2, You have GOT to be kidding. Seriously, are you nuts? NO older display looks better than newer ones, even if they are from the same generation (i.e.: used vs. new out of the box). If you put up your ancient reference display next to one of the new ones (from ANY brand), you'd be crying into your soup. I can't believe you actually had the brass ones to post such a blatantly false comment.
#3, if you had seen the Pioneer demo, you'd see that significant improvements are being made with every generation: black levels improve, detail improves, color accuracy improves. This is true of ever brand. None of these are " less significant".
