Also I don't believe the colour chanes, I have a number of Plasma's around teh house and actually the older ones tend to look better than the new ones (of the same resolution).

#3, if you had seen the Pioneer demo, you'd see that significant improvements are being made with every generation: black levels improve, detail improves, color accuracy improves. This is true of ever brand.
