Weaknees has already upgraded their Series3 to 750GB
The guys over at Weaknees.com have already upgraded their Series3 to 750GB and will be taking pre-orders on upgraded Series3 TiVo's later today. There are not many details yet, but it appears that many of the same old tricks that worked for the other TiVo's might also work on the Series3. We for one are hoping that someone can find a way to add MRV and TTG as well. Wow 98 hours of HD programming!

Hmm - now we're talking on 'maybe' making a purchase worthwhile - but I'm still sticking w/my Comcast PVR unless someone comes out w/some crack that makes the S3 a "gotta have" piece.

Wryker, if Comcast "updated" their Motorola DVRs to where video extraction via the Firewire port was made impossible, I'm sure that would become an artificial "gotta have" feature for the S3 TiVo if & when TiVo-To-Go is implemented on the unit.
Hmmm...makes me wonder if the option TiVo software update for the Comcast (and Cablevision) Motorola DVRs will disable the Firewire port.

Huh? The USB and FireWire ports on my Comcast boxes are all inoperable -- aside from charging my Xbox 360 controllers.

The firewire port IS enabled. Its mandatory and the law. Stick in a firewire cable and the other end to a PC/Mac. Should recognize. If it doesn't, tell comcast that you need a new box, as the FCC requires all cable boxes to have their firewire ports on and working (not usb...just firewire)
