I saw this RCA HD-DVD player at another electronic retailer they {manufactuer} claim the output is 1080p instead of the reported 1080i. The machine's design was cheap and ugly compare to the Toshiba HD-AX1. The picture quality displayed on a non-true Mitsubishi WD-73727 so-called "1080p" DLP was just awesome.
Another setup across the Mitsubishi+RCA HD-DVD setup had the Samsung Blu-Ray player hook up to a 1080p 56" DLP and the picture quality wasn't as sharp and crisp as the HD-DVD., in fact it was kinda "grainy" and the colors didn't look accurate, specially the flesh tones and reds that were over saturated.

BTW: Both setups were connected on HDMI inputs.
