NBC has posted high definition trailers for some of their fall programming on Xbox Live. You can get an early look at
30 Rock and
Kidnapped, or existing shows C
onan O'Brien and
The Office. They've even got a behind the scenes look at
NBC Sunday Night Football up for download. All are listed at 720p but the quality varies. While the
Kidnapped,
30 Rock,
Conan O'Brien and
Sunday Night Football promos feature the kind of quality we expect from our HDTVs and Xbox 360s,
The Office is strangely blurred. It's hard to say if it is just a problem with how it was encoded or if it is an upconvert of a lower-res source, but while not as bad as the
Battlestar Galactica episode last week, since
The Office is
filmed entirely in HD we wouldn't have expected this problem.

The 360 just keeps getting better and better with more and bigger features all the time. I wonder how long it will be till M$ offers bigger hard drives to store full HD tv episodes, or even movies. Xbox Live is in a great position to really change console gaming and with news coming from Sony on the PS3 delay yet again it only makes the Xbox 360 that much better!

Great idea, but NBC is dopey. They have a Lost-style superhero show in 'Heroes' and they run a promo for 30 Rock? Dumb. Marketing genius. Someone should tell them there might be crossover between a superhero fans and gamers. Maybe not a 1-to-1 correllation, but strong enough.

NBC did put Heroes on Xbox Live. The write up just didn't mention it.

Did anyone look at The Office footage. For the entire show to be shot in HD the footage on Xbox live looked really bad : ( Thats my favorite show too!
