The first 10,000:1 CR generation PDP from Samsung, LG and Panasonic are a piece of garbage. Lots of clay face, over saturated colors and poor shadow details. And what ever happened to the 55" 1080p announced at CES 2006? i rather have that one than a 50".

These people at FHP are not thinking right, 60" is not a competitive size comparing it to the Panasonic Viera 65" TH-65PX600U, they should have made it bigger than 65" maybe 70", that would have been news.

Perrey Z.

Comments on Hitachi unveils new 1080p plasmas

1280x1080?? When was the last time you cuaght someone advertising '1080i' on a fixed-pixel display technology?

Fastman, they will call anything 'HD'. A lot of flat-panel products with XGA resolution rectangular pixels were sold as 'HD' displays. Unfortunately for you, the 1280x1080 is probably going to be one of those rectangular pixels, but at least they can display all 720 lines of a 1280-pixel/line format.

GhostDoggy
