Who said there wasn't a killer HD DVD? Harry Potter might not be your all-time favorite flick but it sure is to many people.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire doesn't have a release date just yet, but we do know a good amount of what's going to be on the disc. It is going to be presented in 2.35:1 widescreen at 1080p and include both Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 tracks. Along with the normal DVD extras the HD DVD release is going to have Warner's "in-Movie Experience" that features an interactive video commentary, plus, additional making-of content, and interviews. So far Warner hasn't announced any plans to bring this title out on Blu-ray ether. We just wish we knew when it was hitting the streets.

No, I would say that the Harry Potter movies are some of my favorites. This as well as the Star Wars and Star Trek movies, will get me to stop channel surfing.
This coming from a guy old enough to see Star Wars when it first came to the big screen.

My daughter loves Harry Potter and I started to watch Harry too. Love the "goblet of fire" movie. I wish I could afford an HD-DVD player and a component video switcher.

If this comes out HD DVD only (not day and date with a Blu-ray version), this would definitely be a killer app for HD DVD. Its titles like this, Batman Begins, and Superman Returns that people are waiting for, not Rumor Has It.
Here's a thought- maybe more people would buy HD DVD and Blu-ray Players if their favorite movie was available on one of the formats!

I couldn't care less for any so called 'special content'.
Essentially, it is most of the time stuff where they are trying to convince you that
a) the movie is great
b) the story is great
c) the actors are great
d) the director is great
You know what? I bought the damn thing, so I must already be convinced of either a, b, c or d. So pretty please, with sugar on top... cut the crap out of the discs.
I want to be able to plop in the disc, and when I press play, I want the movie (aka main feature) to start playing.
