We are in the process of selling/buying a new house and she also wants to setup a home theatre room eventually. I was stunned when she said that too, but it's mostly for our kids. She wants to allow them and their friends a *cool* place to hang out now that they are apporaching their teens. Reality is she wants to keep them safe and sound. Call me demanding, but when there's a lot more HD content, someone's won the format war and the disc library is a bit more, well, worthwhile (seriously, 9 out of 10 of the release films are awful, or completely throwaway) then I'd love a massive, sleek 1080p Plasma TV.

But until then, I'll stick with my 800x600 projector and hope for diamonds.
