Currently when they scan film and they want the highest quality, they scan it at 4k.  If they can take this scan and transmit it to theaters which have these or other 4k projectors, then we will have the highest quality image possible, all of the advantages of film, with none of it's weaknesses...<br>I saw X-men3 with digital projection (Christie Digital), and it looked really good.  I'm looking forward to the time when all of the projectors are replaced with digital projectors.
