Today at a trade show I saw a Japanese-made 42" LCD with 1920x1080, 1080i and 1080p support, HDMI with HDCP, upgradeable to HDMI 1.3, for less than $4000 AUSTRALIAN dollars.

How are they going to sell a 50 inch TV in the US without an ATSC tuner? I thought that was mandatory for anything over 27. Unless they try an bend the rules.....ohhh ummm this isnt a TV......its a monitor.....we just keep it in the TV section of the store because it looks better over here. Can you call it a monitor if it lacks all conventional computer inputs??

don’t get cheap with your uber expensive sets. Include the tuner.
