Well, I am hoping Pioneer wants ANY Elite model (even the 1st gen BR player) to be up to the usually great standards they have for Elite gear.Imagine if the Elite was buggy, sluggish, and just a lame duck - that would not be good for their reputation.BTW, I don't work for or own any Pioneer gear, just my take on why it is being delayed ;)

Imagine if the Elite was buggy, sluggish, and just a lame duck - that would not be good for their reputation.
