HD-DVD has arrived!
I was reading the AVSForum and what do I find, but a guy from Surf City, CA managed to pick up a HD-DVD player from his local Best Buy. I guess they didn't know that they weren't suppsed to be released till Tuesday. Lucky for him, but not as lucky as you think, he still doesn't have any movies to watch. The forums members are keeping him busy with questions, this is starting to get exciting.

Wow that's an ugly ass machine. It looks about as big as one of those Home theater PC's, and it's without all the added functionality.

Someone else posted to the thread and was able to buy 2 HD-DVDs as well

True - but for some reason i am totally underwhelmed.
If this truly is next-gen cool then it should look and feel and show up that way IMHO.
