HDTV Listings for April 13, 2006
What we're watching: She's no Dennis Haysbert, but Geena Davis returns in a new episode of Commander in Chief tonight. Usually we'd opt for the Earl/The Office 1-2 combination however they are stuck in repeats, but if you somehow missed the "dundies" episode of Office do yourself a favor and check it out anyway. Luckily UPN is filling with all new shows, starting off with Everybody Hates Chris. There is also a replay of the unfortunately-cropped Crash on Showtime and for sports fans you can choose from MLB action on INHD or a doubleheader of basketball on TNT-HD.
Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

I wonder if companies are starting to figure out that the best way to get me to actually watch a commercial is to do it in HD. I was skipping through commercials while watching Lost on my HD DVR, but stopped to watch the Target Choxie and Toyota Camry commericals that they showed back to back in HD.
Its getting to the point now where I will not watch certain things in TV, like the NBA, unless they show it in HD. There is a sports bar I frequent that has one HDTV and probably 30 SD ones. I think its a 30+ inch CRT that has a great picture. I will fight to get in position to watch that one TV because the picture is so crisp. I even ignore the 60+ inch SD projection TV that is right below it.
Hi, my name is Sam and I'm addicted to HD TV.

^^^^^Hes one of ours.
Welcome home Sam. Welcome home.
But yeah, when I was watching 24 the other night I stopped and rewound to catch the mission impossible trailer they showed in HD. The funny part is, if it's an HD commercial, i'll stop fast forwarding, because i'm waiting for the widescreen to come back to indicate the show is starting.

Does anybody know how INHD was able to get the NESN broadcast of the Sox game yesterday? and during the commercials, they said they will have the Mariners vs Red Sox game on Saturday! As a transplated new englander, getting to hear the NESN broadcast is a gift from heaven. It looks like INHD will be having 3 MLB games a week, awesome!
