You just need to remember that the 10 monthly subscription is in addition to your existing Sky subscription (usually between 15 - 48).

... and you may be liable for an additional 10 Sky+ (PVR functionality) monthly subscription fee since the HD box comes with PVR functionality and Sky prices that as a separate product.

i think that 300.00 for a sky hd box is way over the top, i have had sky for several years now and have nothing but trouble with it. i get no help when i phone the help desk so what garrantees do i get that this will not continue once i have forked out 300 quid for a box and pay more for the subscription?

With sky HD box you can record 3 programs whilst watching another channel or you can record 4 programs whilst watching something previously recorded. It also has a 160Gb HDD which will hold 80 hours of video. another thing is it can also be used with non HD ready TV's but still gives an improved picture quality.
just thought i would give you a few more specs.
