HDTV Listings for March 7, 2006
What we're watching: What a country! You can go from being the
President of the United States to an Allstate front man to a U.S. Special
Forces commander all in a single acting career. We're talking about Dennis Haysbert, who would actually get our vote if
he really did run for President; what a decision-maker! Haysbert kicks off the
premiere of "The Unit" tonight on CBS in 1080i at 9 p.m. This looks like
another high-action thriller series but has the twist of also encompassing the wives of the Special Forces personnel.
We'll call it "24 Desperate Housewives" for now. We're also intrigued by tonight's ep of "House" airing in 720p on Fox at the same time. If we interpreted the previews right, a dead woman must be cured of something so that her organs can be used to save someone needing an immediate transplant. Looks like we'll have to record one of the two shows, but which will it be?
Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

Don't forget his stint as a Cuban baseball player/Voodoo worshipper Pedro Cerrano in the Major League movies. ;)
Pedro Cerrano: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.
Eddie Harris: You know you might think about taking Jesus Christ as your savior instead of fooling around with all this stuff.
Jake Taylor: Harris.
Pedro Cerrano: Jesus, I like him very much, but he no help with curveball.
Eddie Harris: You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

Awesome catch Scott. Cerrano was one of my favorite charcaters in that movie and I completely forgot it was Haysbert that played him. Thanks!
Errett Porter @ Mar 7th 2006 2:34PM
Don't forget he was the getaway driver that doesn't make it in Heat!

Well I just wish DirecTV HD TiVos were cheaper.
Now that more HD programing is coming on in primetime.
House was the only thing good to watch in HD on tuesday now if The Unit is any good I'll have to do the ol' flip flop between CBS and Fox.
Mike @ Mar 11th 2006 7:45AM
He has also gone back in time. He was in a few episodes of Buck Rogers.
