A great kick off episode, gentlemen.
I like that its not just a rehash of the week's news, but you guys add a solid layer of analysis on top of the news.
The intro bumper music is a big improvement from TWIHD (sorry, Ben, I loved everything else about TWIHD).
Thanks, guys,
Dan

Thanks Dan!
You could not of written a more complimentary comment. You hit on one of our main goals of "not just a rehash of the week's news".
Yeah I like the intro music much better too, plus it is podcast safe unlike the old song. I have always wanted to have a contest of which the winner would be the first person who could tell me the name of the intro song and the artist.
The production quality will be better in the future, Kevin is much further away than Warren and Skype doesn't seem to be cutting it, plus I was having some technical difficulties on my Mac (yeah it is still a computer) that reduced the sound quality.
Thanks again.
Ben

I am subscribed. This will fill the void left by the HT Guys going back to one show a week.

I was wondering why every once in a while I heard digital audio artifact during the podcast. It was just a little distracting.
Ben Drawbaugh @ Feb 18th 2006 12:51PM
Those artifacts are my fault. I didn't do a test recording before we started and my setup was causing static, which it does from time to time. We didn't want to record the entire thing over again, so I used Audacity's noise removal, which removes the static but also causes digital noise artifacts.
I will check it from now on and we are trying to get it worked out so we don't have to use Skype to record, which will make Kevin's voice as good as mine.
Thanks for the feedback and I promise to get the bugs worked out.

Sweet podcast. Recently I listened to another "1st podcast" and it was painful to listen to. You guys are like pros already.
I'd put in a request for less compression. Perhaps it's the Skype. Seems like the compression sounds are on both voices.
Ben Drawbaugh @ Feb 20th 2006 4:26PM
Thanks for the kind words Iffy, that noise you hear is a result of Audacity's noise removal. I had to use it to remove the static that my usb headset leaked in. It won't happen again.(I will test it first next time)
