I could care less which is better, I just think Sony is too proud and would love to see this fail! C'mon, when's the last time a Sony endorsed format prevailed?
Beta? Minidisc? (Only kidding of course, Sony is a great company, i just don't buy their products)

The real problem is that the local stores won't side with either (not that they could anyway), they just want to move product. So, Joe Sixpack is buying an HDTV, will he spring for a $500 or $1K player (not including PS3, because I don't know the price and not everyone plays games)?

Here's a question how long will it take to get to a sub-200 price? 6 mos? 2 yrs? 7 yrs? Please don't compare to DVD stats.
