I know there will be some people who will buy into one or the other of these, but what do you guys think are the chances of basically a stalemate? That is to say, what are the chances that basically everyone says "I don't want to buy until there's a clear winner" and thereby neither HD-DVD or Blu-Ray sell much and are forced to unify? In my opinion, however, it seems that Sony has over-hyped their product, much like they did the PS3. I think since HD-DVD is coming several months before BR, it has a better chance of winning out. Even if Blu-Ray has more capacity (which I think is one of the things they're hyping to some degree), if they can't make use of it then I don't know how much good it will do them now...
