Most TVs on the market don't even truly support 1080p...and isn't 1080p the same resolution, just a different display format? That's just the resolution; the same way that a DVD isn't recorded at 480p, it's just ripped at 480. The TV/Player determines the output format. Progressive contains more visual information ON-SCREEN, but the source video doesn't contain more data, does it? Am I misunderstanding the technology, here?
