Yes that is the Senator. We saw the cameo and my wife read an article 2 days ago about it. He is a big fan of the show and identifies with Jack. We thought that was kind of odd since the Senator is so opposed to torture and Jack is very fond of it.

What strikes me as ironic is that his cameo was right before Jack Bauer starting interrogating a suspect...and I mean with pain.

Who cares about the VP no-show. I want Nixon (look-a-like) out after this season! Long live Pres. Palmer (albeit on another show)! I guess I missed it 'cause I didn't really look for it or knew what the guy looked like..
