What can this transcode 360 do for me? Would love to get a usb 5.1 surround sound for my laptop too. Not any longer with this amazing piece of software. I just tried it on a couple widescreen xvid movies and it works perfectly and only uses about 50-60% cpu on my athlon64 3200+...not bad. This might be a good reason to upgrade my processor to a dual core!

AWESOME!!

Brian

Comments on Transcode 360 provides DivX support for WMCE

For those interested in playing WMV-HD DVD's on their xbox 360, I figured out a trick to make it work with a Windows Media Center machine. First, insert the WMV-HD DVD into the WMCE computer and allow it to play for a few seconds...this ensures the DRM has been authorized on your computer. Then, browse the DVD and find the .wmv file on the DVD and copy it to your My Videos folder or whatever folder you have setup to share videos to your xbox 360. After it's finished copying you can now play it on your hdtv with your xbox 360. I used this trick with my Fighter Pilot WMV-HD DVD and it works perfectly! I still cannot beleive MS didn't build WMV-HD DVD support into the xbox360, shame on them!

Brian

Comments on Transcode 360 provides DivX support for WMCE

I've just finished developing an application that allows you to stream DivX and any movie to the 360. Also allows you to pause, rewind and fast forward the stream.
Let me know what you think:
http://www.lightningware.co.uk/software/lwsoftware.asp

Gary
