HDTV State of the Union Address poll results

We're
so disappointed in you: instead of concentrating on what President Bush was actually
saying, almost 70% of you were channel surfing to see whose high-def coverage was the best! OK, who are we trying to
kid: we did the same thing and in my case, I actually muted the audio. There were no indications that ABC's 720p feed
looked better than the 1080i feeds provided by CBS and NBC. No big surprise there since having a progressive scan feed
typically only assists with smoothness of motion. On the plus side, the 31% result of folks actually watching on a
single channel didn't beat the latest result of the Presidental approval rating. It was close, though.

Does anyone have a download of the video available? FTP, HTTP, or Bittorrent would be acceptable. I would like to see it in the highest resolution possible.

I did flip back and forth between CBS and NBC. The picture itself was identical. I did notice that CBS was having all sorts of problems with their audio feed early into the address. There was an echo and the President's mouth was moving to the softer of the two sound streams. They got it worked out after a few seconds.

I went with ABC. They were the only network without annoying graphics all over the screen.

What about people like me who stayed away from the bullshit altogether? excuse me, bushit. For the "video quality over content" fix i'll stick with things like Trading Spaces.
