Home Theater reviewed Sony 60 SXRD

This sure is a popular TV. Here at HD Beat, we did a review and then posted a reader review of it. Both agreed that the TV was great even though it had some minor flaws, but overall an amazing picture. Home Theater Mag has done a good amount of reviews in the past and gets down and dirty with the Sony 60" SXRD and comes to the same conclusion. They have a bit more equipment then we do in our "lab" so they can measure all the aspects of the TV. The biggest surprise to me though was the 13,330:1 contrast ratio they measured. I know the black levels were good but that’s great!

In TFA - Sony sites not having adequate Copy Protection yet for the 1080p connection as the reason for not including the ability to except a 1080p signal.
This means it will be a while...

So, I guess they have adequate copy protection for 720p or 1080i but not for 1080p. That makes a lot of sense.
