Avivo, PureVideo go head to head
Over at Anandtech, they took the time to test ATI and NVIDIA's technology platforms in several different ways. Both companies want to be at the heart of your next meda center-whatever PC, but which one displays the best quality and performance? The results were quite interesting.Definitely disappointing however, was that ATI will not be able to hardware assist transcoding until next year, which would be a real boon to those of us constantly converting video for various sources (PSP's, DVD's, cellphones) on our PC's.
