You can add 2 very important features to the remotoe control if you follow the instructions here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorola_6412

Foward 30 second skip button, and tuner swap (which allows you to keep a program running on one tuner and swap to the other so that you don't lose the buffer).
