World Cup 2006 completely in HD
The Disney family of networks scored a goal yesterday by announcing that all 64 World Cup 2006 matches will be in high-definition. Coverage will be spread out between ABC, ESPN-HD and ESPN2-HD. Each match will be broadcast in HD via twenty individual high-def cameras, so every angle will appear razor sharp. Mark your calendars from June 9th to July 9th, 2006 for the full tourney! Thanks for the tip, Adam!

Wow indeed - I'm now officially hoping that I've got enough saved up to take the HDTV plunge before the World Cup rolls around. Time to live on bread and water for a couple months...
