We'd like to see BrightSide hook up with both an LCD manufacturer and also with Oakley. The whole "brighter screen" thing would be a nice HDTV and sunglasses cross-promotion.

Clearly this should say:
A matrix of **LED** backlights helps the LCD panel achieve 10 times the brightness and 100 times the contrast of today's LCD sets.
The backlight must be a light source - LED - light-emitting diodes.

ive always wanted Led's to replace those Cold Cathode Florescent Lamps in LCD backlights. i wonder what took them so long to realise this.Led's are brighter, consume less power,generate no heat, and stay on for a long time.
