What sort of compensation is there for our time? Thanks.

Heh, I wish i had the time to write 100 posts a month. What time I've got, I'll spend reading the site. Pains me as I'd love to give it a shot, but just don't have that kind of time.

Maybe i can help. I'm building something of a reference site now on 1080i HD content and TV's, i have a 1080i camera and edit short form.. and right now the way i show my work has to be by hard-disc file and DVI/component out ( lug around a laptop ). I was stunned to find that people saying they have an HD tv only had a 720p capability ( and even that was poor) - they were HAD by marketing that said HD-Ready. Its sad. If they knew the truth thjey would have a true HD system, but instead they have a "fake" HD system. I want to BUST all the marketers that are pushing HD Ready as actual HDTV.

I'll take these in order:
1. Compensation? You wouldn't do this just for the love of HDTV??? Ok, we're joking. You do get compensated, but each contract is unique to each contributor. Send us your samples and if they're good, we'll get with you on the details. Also: check out Jason's blog posts as he talks about compensation and blogging bliss from time to time! http://calacanis.weblogsinc.com
2. C'mon, if you're reading several hundred great posts a month, surely you can write a hundred! ;) It does take time, but it's worth it!
3. Jeff, just sent you an e-mail on what we look for.
